Vinod Kumar did his Ph.D. in Marketing from Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee on merit-based scholarship offered by MHRD, Government of India. Presently, he is working as Head of Department and Assistant Professor (Marketing) in Department of Management and Humanities, Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Lucknow. He has more than a decade of teaching and industrial experience and he has worked with premier b-schools like International Management Institute (IMI), Delhi and Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Nagpur. He has introduced and taught contemporary courses like, Digital Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Marketing Analytics and Green Marketing. He also teaches Marketing Management, Brand Management, Integrated Marketing Communications, Retail Marketing and, Sales and Distribution Management. He has trained faculties and management executives of various public and private sector companies such as, MMTC, MOIL, National Institute of Career Services (NICS), Asian Paints, Roca (Parryware), Tech Mahindra, etc.
He has presented and published his research work in various reputed national and international platforms. His work has been published in SSCI (Clarivate Analytics, Thomson Reuters) and/or SCOPUS indexed journals like, Marketing Intelligence and Planning (ABDC-A Category), Aslib Journal of Information Management (ABDC-B Category), The Electronic Library (ABDC-B Category), Social Network Analysis and Mining, International Journal of Business Innovation and Research, Journal of Modelling In Management, Management Research Review, Sustainable Production and Consumption, The Bottom Line, Global Business Review, etc. He is recipient of Highly Commendable and Outstanding Research Paper Award by Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence, 2017 for his conceptual paper entitled, “Stakeholder identification and classification: a sustainability marketing perspective” published in Management Research Review (Emerald Group Publishing).
The case studies, authored by him, have been published in Thunderbird School of Global Management (distributed through Harvard Business School Press), Emerald Emerging Marketing Case Studies Journal (Scopus indexed), South Asian Journal of Business and Management Cases (Scopus indexed) and FIIB Business Review (Scopus indexed). He has also received grant from prestigious AIM-AMA Sheth Foundation for attending 3rd Doctoral Consortium in IMT Dubai. He is in Editorial Board Member of Academy of Marketing Studies Journal (SCOPUS indexed). He is also contributing as adhoc reviewer to some reputed journals such as, Journal of Cleaner Production (Elsevier), Marketing Intelligence and Planning (Emerald), Management Research Review (Emerald), Telematics and Informatics (Elsevier), Sustainable Production and Consumption (Elsevier), etc. His research interests include Corporate Social Responsibility, Digital Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Sustainable Marketing and Sustainability Reporting.
